Site Requirements
In order to properly view and use this site, we recommend that you have the following:
Web Browsers The Girl Scout site is best viewed with the latest browsers from Microsoft (Internet Explorer 5.x or greater), AOL (7.0 or greater), or Netscape (version 6.1 or greater) with JavaScript and Cookies enabled. Note: This site uses Cascading Style Sheets, which sometimes are interpreted differently across browsers.
Monitor Settings The site looks best on a screen resolution of 800 x 600 or greater and color depth set to millions of colors.
Get Plugged In On some of the pages, you may need to have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. If you are having problems viewing pages, you may not have these free plug-ins. Click on the link below to find out how to download.
Viewing
This site has implemented adjustable text sizing. If your having trouble reading the text because of the size, you can adjust the text size from the Internet Explorer menu by doing the following.
- Click on View in the Internet Explorer menu.
- Goto Text Size.
- Select the font size desired.
If you have a mouse wheel. You can also hold the CTRL key and scroll your wheel up and down.
How to use the discussion forums
The Discussion forums capture the exchange of messages over time, sometimes over a period of days, weeks, or even months. They allow you to post messages that are available for anyone else to read or reply to. Messages are usually summarized in a list that you select from. Threaded discussion forums are organized into categories so that the exchange of messages and responses are grouped together and are easy to find.
